Physics of Cells: PhysCell 2022

This workshop brings together scientists from a broad range of discplines who are interested in exploring and applying the basic physical principles that underlie the behavior of living cells. This extends from the protein scale up to the tissue level with input from the physical and the biological sciences. We hope to stimulate exchange of ideas between theoreticians and experimentalists, and between physicists, chemists and biologists. Participation of young and emerging scientists is highly encouraged and several slots are reserved for contributed lectures.

Topics include:

  • Reconstituted systems

  • Lipid membranes

  • Active cytoskeleton networks

  • Phase transitions in cells

  • Mechanics of the nucleus and chromatin

  • Cell adhesion and migration

  • Cell mechanics

  • Physics of Cancer

  • Tissues and development

Students and postdocs not presenting an oral talk are expected to participate through poster presentation.

Please apply early, as this meeting may become oversubscribed before the deadline.

The meeting is held in conjunction with an advanced school preceding the conference for graduate and postdoctoral students. Registration for the school can be made using this link.
